This course is designed for operators, supervisors, and process engineers who work in the field of aluminum rotary furnace operations. The purpose of the course is to gain an understanding of the development of the rotary furnace and discuss the current best designs. We will focus on best practices used to remelt dross and low-grade scrap aluminum to maximize recovery and minimize waste products.

The course will be offered virtually, as four half-day sessions. Reference material will be distributed to participants prior to the course start date. The course is being co-taught by experts in aluminum remelting, who have operated facilities and designed rotary furnaces for the aluminum remelting industry.
